On March 15, 2010, I launched BuiltLean.com. Of the 70 articles that I wrote this year, I wanted to pick out a handful to make it to the Best of 2010 list.
This was certainly not an easy task, but I chose the following 5 articles (in random order) based on 3 factors:
1) Number of views
2) Number of comments
3) Representation of different topics
1) High Intensity Interval Training: Best Cardio to Burn Fat?
High Intensity Interval Training cuts workout time dramatically, aids in fat burning, and is a lot less boring than normal cardio. With 36 comments, it has the most comments of any post this year. People from around the world (even Kuwait!) have commented about how HIIT has helped them get leaner bodies. Read: High Intensity Interval Training article.
2) White Collar Job, Professional Athlete Body
In this article, I included a 30 minute interview with my friend David Aaron. Despite working very long hours in finance, David was able to maintain a professional athlete physique. What makes this content compelling in my mind is that motivation, nutrition, and exercise components are all discussed. David has a very sensible, balanced view towards health, even though he has an extreme looking body. This article received more views than any other (20K+) except for The State Of Fitness In America: Just Analyze Google.

3) 20 Minute Circuit Training Workout
With over 5K visits from Stumble Upon alone, this article has gotten thousands of visitors from around the world. What I think is unique about the content in this article is not the workout itself, but the workout structure, or framework that it draws from. This workout framework, which can be adjusted to create a limitless number of workouts is extremely powerful! Read: 20 Minute Circuit Training Workout.
4) Get Lean Eating at Restaurants
People ask me all the time what I eat every day, or what I order when eating out at restaurants. In this article, I share with you my philosophy in how I approach eating out at restaurants. As a busy New Yorker, I eat out, or order in constantly, but I still maintain 5-7% body fat year round. If you really apply these 3 keys to eating at restaurants this article describes, you will be way ahead of the game! Read: Get Lean Eating at Restaurants.
5) 7 Jump Rope Tricks to Keep it Fresh
I launched BuiltLeanTV on Youtube in June, and since then I’ve created 9 videos. I think there is a lot of room for improvement in 2011, but the short series I created on jumping rope was well received, of which the 7 Jumping Rope Tricks was the highlight. Read: 7 Jump Rope Tricks.
