Over the past few months, lots of new and exciting things have been happening at BuiltLean. We’ve decided to share a quarterly update so everyone involved in the BuiltLean community can keep abreast of major news and updates with our inaugural BuiltLean Quarterly.

We’re super excited about all the social media attention that our articles and videos are getting & about all the new readers and customers who are finding BuiltLean every day. Our community is growing quickly, and we welcome more people to enjoy the BuiltLean Lifestyle.


Most Views – From Obese To Ripped: How Marty Lost 150lb+!

With thousands of views from around the world, Marty’s 150lb transformation was a real hit! Marty van den Bosch wrote to Marc about his 150lb transformation, part of which was helped by the BuiltLean Program. Not only did Marty lose all the weight, but he was able to sculpt a physique that would make many fitness models jealous. And he made this transformation as a busy dad with a demanding office job!   • New Contributors – Nate Morrow ( 5 Metabolism-Boosting Foods with Health Benefits ) and Brooke Redmond ( Does Muscle Turn Into Fat With No Exercise? ) joined the BuiltLean Contributors team and Peter Zhou joined as our summer research intern.

  • Q&A with Men’s Fitness on Carbs & Smart Cardio – Marc Perry answered questions related to carbohydrates, their function, and how to use them appropriately along with cardio training and fat loss for Men’s Fitness. Below are links to these articles:

  • BuiltLean Youtube Channel Surpasses 1,000 Subscribers – We’re excited to announce that the BuiltLean Youtube Channel reached a small milestone by surpassing 1,000 subscribers. We are working hard to create more useful videos to feature on both youtube and our website. Hopefully the next update will be when we reach 10,000 subscribers!

  • Fitness Events – In early March, Marc attended one of the largest industry events that celebrates health and fitness: the “Arnold Classic” with over 175K fans, 18K athletes, and 700 vendor booths. His article on the Arnold Sports Festival 2012 highlights the core events, which are physique competitions such as bodybuilding, figure, fitness, and strongman competitions. For anyone who read Marc’s article 7 Insights From The World’s Top Strength Coaches , you know he also went to the 2012 Perform Better Summit in Rhode Island, which featured lectures and hands-on presentations from some of the top strength coaches in the world to explore even more about exercise in order to share it with everyone on BuiltLean.
