At 9:20am this morning August 13th, 2013, a fitness segment aired on Good Day New York featuring my story and BuiltLean. The angle was how to get leaner in both the short and long term. While there was very little time to really get into the meat of what BuiltLean is about, I hope viewers got some useful tips.

Good Day New York, which has 114k average weekly viewers, gave me a brief introduction and showed my body transformation through before/after photos. Greg Kelly joked about my before/after photo. Co-hosts Greg & Rosanna have a reputation for being comedians and both are very down to earth.
Because co-host Rosanna had her sister’s wedding in a few days, she wanted some short term improvements she can make. The first tip is to drink a lot of water the day before the wedding (10-12 glasses), which helps get rid any water retention. The more hydrated we are, the less water our bodies retain. The second is to be mindful of posture, keep your head up, shoulders back, and arms at your sides. This can make a big impact on your presentation and not how only you look, but feel.
The final part of the segment discussed the workout method we used based on Strength Circuits. We chose a squat with upright row using a kettlebell, a reverse lunge holding one kettlebell on one side, and a standing military dumbbell press. The goal is to do each exercise with little rest between each set to maximize strength and cardio benefits and to create an afterburn effect.
